- I tried the 4.6 update from the for site and it failed as well. Would start the installation but a few minutes later it would chime and say that the installation failed. 'installation unsuccessful. May not have enough space or it may not work with the version' To top it off now my Bluetooth is not connecting anymore.

Add me to the list of people that regret upgrading to Sync 4.6.This upgrade includes a feature to invoke Siri by holding down the 'voice command' button on your steering wheel for 3 seconds. Unfortunately, it only works for Flex years 2011 and newer. Mine is 2010, which means the ability to invoke Siri via the iPhone home button is disabled when connected to Sync.
Although many (including ford officials and dealers) have claimed downgrading to Sync 4.4 is impossible, there are records of some individuals online claiming it is possible. The process is simple and seems to work for them: perform a Master Reset, then install their old version of 4.4 via the thumb drive.
Unfortunately, this hasn't worked for me. But, I think it's because I may have 4.4 files that don't work with my Flex. I recently purchased my 2010 Flex SEL used and upgraded directly to Sync 4.6, so I don't have any previous version install files.Does anyone here have install files for an older version of Sync? I'm pretty certain it would need to be for Sync without the touchscreen (as, that's what I have).
